Mediamaking and Mobility

This Project Lab combines media studies, history, geography, and social justice into one project. Leader Dr. Niklas Vollmer asks students who designed the streets of Atlanta, who were they designed for, and whose are they, anyway?

Mediamaking and Mobility empowers students to use super-portable video production setups – smartphones, DSLRs, action cameras, drones – as a way to tell audiences about how Atlantans get around. While developing in-demand production skillsets, students will engage with residents to tell their stories and affect change in the community.
